BV offers more choices for residential senior living service plans.

Coming home to Brethren Village is more affordable than you may have imagined. With a variety of residential senior living service contracts available, we are able to accommodate retirees from many different financial backgrounds.

These are our four main plan types designed to fit a range of retirement budgets. Plus, all plans provide access to an extensive array of services and amenities, including add-ons such as meal plans, housekeeping and personal laundry services.

Traditional Plan

(Type C Contract or Fee-for-Service Contract)

The Traditional Plan provides housing, services and amenities, with long-term care services on a per diem basis when needed. The Traditional Plan is designed for individuals who have an adequate long-term care insurance policy or can privately fund their possible future continuing care costs.

Modified Plan

(Type B Contract)

The Modified Plan provides housing, services and amenities, with long-term care services including a “Healthcare Benefit Credit.” The Modified Plan is designed for individuals who want to supplement an existing long-term care insurance policy.

Lifecare Plan

(Type A Contract)

Brethren Village’s Lifecare Plan provides housing, services and amenities, plus conversion to a discounted daily “equalized rate” when permanently transferred from Residential to Personal Care or Skilled Nursing accommodations. The Lifecare Plan is designed for individuals under the age of 90 who do not have a long-term care insurance policy and want to protect their estate from future continuing care costs.

Rental Plan

(Type D Contract)

Rental programs are available in select apartments and on a limited basis.

Are there financial guidelines for entering Brethren Village?

Brethren Village is a community dedicated to providing care for the duration of our Resident’s lives. Because of our commitment to this philosophy, there are financial covenants that are mutually agreed upon by the Resident and the Village before a Resident is admitted. Since there are many different financial factors considered when admitting a Resident, it is best to discuss your particular circumstance with a representative in our Marketing office.

What are the fees involved in moving to Brethren Village and what do they cover?

Brethren Village offers various Residential Service Plans including:

The Traditional Plan (Type C Contract or Fee for Service)
The Modified Plan (Type B Contract)
The Lifecare Plan (Type A Contract)

When moving into residential living, you pay a one-time entrance fee and a monthly service fee, that together, cover a lifetime lease on the residence of your choice plus living expenses such as utilities, home maintenance, security and use of the Village’s programs and facilities. The entrance fee and monthly service fee varies by the size and style of the home you choose. As you advance through continuing care, your Residential Service Plan outlines the LifeCare Credit Benefits or per-diem rates designated for advanced care.

How do I get on Brethren Village's waitlist and how long do I have to wait to be offered a home?

The first step is to submit an application. The application will tell us what style and size of residence you are interested in and when you are thinking of making a move. We will invite you to campus for a personal consultation and informational tour. We will then contact you when an appropriate accommodation becomes available based on your standing within our waitlist. Accommodations are offered to people on our waitlist with the earliest application dates who are ready to move. How soon do I have to move after accepting a home at Brethren Village?

It varies based on the availability of products needed during the renovation of your apartment or cottage and how soon your current home sells. Our goal is to have your new home ready and moved into within 4 months of you signing a reservation agreement.
