One Personal Care Resident and one Team Member have tested positive for COVID-19. Per our normal procedure, Brethren Village has promptly notified any Resident or Team Member who we know was in close contact with those who tested positive.

BV currently has 18 active COVID cases.

Since Friday’s communication:

• Eight Personal Care Residents have tested positive for COVID-19.
• Two Team Members have tested positive for COVID-19.
• One Residential Living Resident has passed away due to COVID-19 complications.

Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of the Resident who passed away. Per our normal procedure, Brethren Village has promptly notified any Resident or Team Member who we know was in close contact with those who tested positive.

Independent Living Vaccine Clinic, Updated Info

As we have communicated recently, Independent Living Residents were not included in Pennsylvania’s initial roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccination. After talking to CVS about our Personal Care vaccine clinic, Brethren Village was advised that Independent Living may be able to be included in the Personal Care vaccination dates. We want to stress that this is not a guarantee. However, we will do our due diligence in attempting to get all Independent Living Residents that want the COVID-19 vaccine to be vaccinated on Jan. 28 or Jan. 29 for the first dose. We feel comfortable proceeding due to information we received from CVS, but please note that CVS is able to decline vaccinating Independent Living Residents as soon as 48 hours before the date of the vaccine clinic. If CVS cannot serve Independent Living we want to make it clear that this was not a decision made by Brethren Village, but by CVS due to available staff to administer the vaccine, or based on vaccine quantities.

A letter was hand-delivered to each household on Mon. Jan. 18. Consent forms and insurance card copies must be returned by Jan. 21, NO EXCEPTIONS. Please contact Community Life with any questions: 717.581.4343. Thank you!

Personal Care Residents will be offered the COVID vaccine on the following dates, pending CVS confirmation:

Village Manor: Jan. 28, Feb. 18, March 11

Terrace Crossing: Jan. 29, Feb. 19, March 12
