Destination Dining at Brethren Village

Highlighting international cuisine, Dining Services at Brethren Village is excited to debut their destination dining program to Residents, Team Members and friends of the campus community.

Each month, a different featured cuisine will reflect the traditions and recipes of a place on the globe… allowing you to taste the world! The year-long life enrichment dining program is designed exclusively for Residents and allows them to take an exploratory vacation beyond Lancaster County!

In January, hor d’oeuvres, dinner and dessert were especially prepared for diners, as they enjoyed a cooking demonstration and presentation about the region of Scandinavia! Comprised of Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Greenland and Sweden, the menu reflected succulent treats including pickled herring, liver pate, house smoked pork tenderloin, potatoes rostii and aebleskiver.

February featured the country of Italy, and diners enjoyed Mediterranean cuisine pared with classic Italian fare. Buona Cucina! Grazie!
