$5.2 Million Mark Reached in BV's Capital Campaign

'Upholding the Promise... Building for Tomorrow'

Brethren Village’s Capital Campaign Steering Committee is pleased to share that the Village has now received gifts and commitments totaling $5.2 million toward our $6.2 million goal as of Nov. 18, 2009! Entitled “Upholding the Promise… Building for Tomorrow,” the campaign celebrates the more than 300 valued donors who have made gifts in various forms including outright gifts, long-term pledges, and planned gifts.

Several of those generous people were able to select special gift naming opportunities. Many also chose to honor and memorialize loved ones on the beautiful ceramic tile donor wall that will be permanently installed in the new Welcome Center at the completion of the campaign.

A recent challenge pledge by a very generous donor helped encourage many new gifts in the last few weeks. The donor offered a gift of $250,000 if we matched it with new and increased gifts or pledges totaling at least $250,000. Donors responded in time to fully meet and exceed the challenge by early November.

Charitable gift annuities, bequests and IRA charitable rollover contributions are a few of the planned giving options that can provide tax deductions, lifetime income, and/or ease or eliminate the tax burden on your estate.

We still need your help! If you have the desire to give or you have any questions about how to name a space in honor/memory of a loved one, please do not hesitate to contact the Development Office (717) 581-4316.
