BV Dedicates The Courtyards & Welcome Center

Brethren Village dedicated its newest construction projects including the stateof-the-art healthcare center called The Courtyards and the Welcome Center Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009 in the Wolfe Auditorium.

The dedication and ribbon cutting service on Sunday featured keynote speaker Craig Smith, Atlantic Northeast Church of the Brethren District Executive, speaking about “Upholding the Promise… Building for Tomorrow,” the Village’s $6.2 million capital campaign.

Dr. Charles & Hester Wolfe and F. Barry & Barbara Shaw were recognized for their generous support of the campaign, along with donors and volunteers.

Part of a ‘Weekend of Celebration,’ the campus welcomed the local community, vendors, church members, donors and families to tour the new facilities. On Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, The Jazz Ministers Big Band played two concerts with more than 250 listeners in attendance.
